Statement

The work consists of a sculpture trestle (real size) made of paperboard plant, with an American fighter aircraft (F-16 Fighting Falcon in paper) that turns over slowly in a clockwise direction.
The ‘F-16 is one of the best-selling war planes in the air force history (acquired more than 26 countries around the world). The trestle is englobed an audio system that transmits the sound of music box with five famous tunes, for five of the countries listed more involved in wars in the world.
The famous tunes are: Lili Marleen – Hans Leip 1915, music by Norbert Schultze in 1937 and sung by Marlene Dietrict. La vie en rose – music by Louiguy text and voice of Edith Piaf 1945. Nel blu dipinto di blu – Franco Migliacci, Domenico Modugno 1958. Hey Jude – Paul McCartney 1968. New York New York – John Kander, Fred Ebb and text launched by Liza Minelli 1977. From a design placed on the ground cm 60 x 62 x 6, depicting the portrait of an aviator and a dia projector that illuminates the frontally drawing.
The bombing is an act of mass civil systematic destruction. Die more civilians than soldiers during an attack and the sirens that precede are the soundtrack of the last century, and the new one is the same as the previous year. The warplanes are a mixture of terrible and magnificent.

L’opera è composta da un trespolo (copia a grandezza reale) realizzato in cartone vegetale, con un caccia bombardiere americano (F-16 Fighting Falcon in carta) che gli gira lentamente sopra in senso orario.
L’ F-16 è uno degli aerei da guerra più venduto nella storia dell’aereonautica (acquisito da oltre 26 paesi del mondo). Nel trespolo è inglobato un sistema audio che trasmette il sonoro di carillon con cinque celebri motivi musicali, per cinque tra le nazioni che figurano maggiormente coinvolte in guerre nel mondo.
I motivi sono: Lili Marleen – Hans Leip 1915, musica di Norbert Schultze 1937 e cantata da Marlene Dietrict. La vie en rose – musiche di Louiguy testo e voce di Édith Piaf 1945. Nel blu dipinto di blu – Franco Migliacci, Domenico Modugno 1958. Hey Jude – Paul McCartney 1968. New York New York – John Kander, testo di Fred Ebb e lanciata da Liza Minelli 1977. Da un disegno poggiato a terra di cm 60 x 62 x 6, raffigurante il ritratto di un aviatore e da un dia proiettore che illumina frontalmente il disegno sagomandolo.
Il bombardamento aereo è un atto di distruzione civile di massa sistematico. Muoiono più civili che militari durante un attacco e le sirene d’allarme che lo precedono sono la colonna sonora dello scorso secolo; il nuovo è tale e quale al precedente. Gli aerei da guerra sono un miscuglio di atroce e di magnifico.
